10 Feb Powerboat – Engine problem – 4nm East of Slipper Island – 5 P.O.B. CRV GJ Gardner Ranger tow assisted to Whangamata ramp

18 Feb Powerboat – Engine problem – 7nm NNE of Mayor Island – 3 P.O.B. CRV GJ Gardner Ranger tow assisted to Whangamata ramp

19 Feb Yacht – Engine problem – Anchored near Whangamata Harbour entrance off Hunt Road - 4 P.O.B – No radio contact with yacht. Whangamata Harbourmaster investigated the situation and advised Coastguard Whangamata. CRV GJ Gardner Ranger tow assisted to Whangamata wharf.

24 Feb Yacht – Engine problem – 1 P.O.B - Under tow by a vessel of opportunity from Slipper Island to Whangamata. Off Onemana called for assistance from Coastguard for the remaining travel. CRV GJ Gardner Ranger tow assisted to Whangamata mooring

25 Feb Swimmer. – Stranded on rocks near Whangamata Entrance markers – Alert from Police/ Coastguard Eastern Region – CRV crew on standby ready to launch if required. Passing boat took on board the stranded swimmer and landed safely back to Whangamata wharf.
