04 July Power-boat. 6.2m. 3POB. Fuel problem. Outside Whangamata entrance.

CRV GJ Gardner Rescue responded and tow assisted the vessel to the boat ramp.

Total Whangamata Coastguard involvement 6 hrs.

09 July Dinghy. 3m. 2 POB. Outboard inoperable due to painter around propeller. Near Whangamata wharf. CRV GJ Gardner Rescue being on harbour training exercise at the time assisted the occupants and dinghy to the safety of the wharf.

Total Whangamata Coastguard involvement 2 hrs.

12 July Power-boat. 5m. 4POB. Flat battery. Near Rawengaiti Is. (3rd Island).

CRV GJ Gardner Rescue responded, jump started the target vessel’s motor which enabled them with CRV Gardner Rescue in attendance to proceed safely to the boat ramp

Total Whangamata Coastguard involvement 5 hrs.

16 July Yacht. 9m. Adrift in harbour with nobody aboard. CRV GJ Gardner Rescue responded and tow assisted to a spare mooring.
