All assisted vessels and persons on board were returned safely to port.

17 May Surfer in need of possible assistance. Between Hauturu and Whenuakura Islands. A call was made from NZ Police to have CRV Gardener Rescue and Crew on standby in case of a possible rescue mission. The surfer eventually made it unaided safely ashore.

Total Whangamata Coastguard involvement 01 hr.

28 May Power Boat 6m. 2 POB. Engine problem. Near Whenuakura Island.

CRV GJ Gardner Rescue responded and tow assisted the vessel to the Whangamata boat ramp.
